Giselle Explored: Schools Workshops
Manchester Schools Project
In partnership with Manchester International Festival, this September English National Ballet will be delivering dance workshops inspired by Akram Khan’s Giselle to over 300 Key Stage 3 students throughout Manchester.
Workshops will be held at a host school in each borough and partner schools will join together and collaborate in this half-day dance workshop. Each school will receive a resource pack to inspire ongoing dance work in their groups, and will be challenged to create their own dance work in response to the workshop and resource pack, for a chance to appear on our website.
The schools’ resource pack will be made available online in September 2016. If you would like to receive the resource pack, please email email@example.com.
UK Tour Schools Workshops
Creative dance workshops inspired by Akram Khan’s Giselle can be booked anywhere in the country throughout English National Ballet’s tour. Workshops will delve into the repertoire and offer students an opportunity to creatively engage with this brand new production. Students will have the chance to learn phrases of choreography and develop their own responses to the ideas and themes.
These workshops provide an excellent opportunity for students studying GCSE dance to delve into a piece of English National Ballet repertoire and find out more about the creative process and can support students completing their arts award.
Workshop bookers also receive discounted ticket offers.
